          Green Village is a village that perched on the sacred Ayung River and surrounded by Tropical Bali Forest. Green Village is a tranquil and peaceful compound that hosts spectacular bamboo houses and villas. There are 13 houses are a feast for the eyes and a showcase of how black and white bamboo can be combined to create a stunning collection of the luxurious floors, walls, ceilings, stairs and railings. Even the roofs are an innovative arrangement of bamboo shingles. 


          There are two houses that we get the opportunity to access are the Temple House and the River House. Temple House is a bamboo home with sweeping lines and hoop corners, built by combining dramatic angles and soft curves. This simple property features three levels that cascade down the slope towards the rushing Ayung river. The open living area and the fully equipped modern kitchen are designed to capture the natural beauty of the river and its surroundings. There is one large master bedroom and two guest rooms. Each bedroom is glass-enclosed and air-conditioned. The entertainment room provides ample family space for a weekend get-together, and comes with satellite TV. The private pool features a separate bamboo cabana, an ideal place to wind down an afternoon of self-indulgence or quiet reflection. 


          River House is built right by the edge of the sacred Ayung River in Ubud, Bali. Surrounded by the bamboo forest and a permaculture garden, the villa is hidden underneath the lush canopy of green. Full of the soothing sounds of the flowing river, River House is a 5-story bamboo villa designed for a family of four. It hosts 3 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a bamboo hammock overlooking the forest, perfect for a lazy swing on sunny days.
