          The objective of this project is to design an Otak-U Creative Lab which act as an incubator to nuture the creativity of the selected community (crafftmans and designers). It serve as a lab for artisans to explore their obsession (lines strokes), discover the magic of imagination and yet develop the possibilities, testing and innovating ideas through the interactive experience, and commercializing the outcome to specific target area. Hence, logo, brandings, programming and activities are being design and apply into this project to commercialize the products at the designated space, ‘The ROW’.

ABOUT & CONCEPT

Name of Creative Lab: MERAKI

Definition - Acatalepsy: The idea that it is possible to truly comprehend anything.

Definition - Meraki: To design something with soul, creative or love, to put something of yourself into your work.

Purpose of MERAKI: To nuture the creativity of craftmans to explore their obsession in design and prototype conceptual experimental arts.

Products produce: Daily tools needed for designers and craftmans, prototyped experimental art.

Target User: Craftmans from generation X to Y.

Obsession: Lines Strokes.

Concept: Creative, Exciting, Bold.

Theme: Yellow, Black, White, Nature.

Mixture: Nature & Manmade, Organic & Geometric lines, White Collar & Blue Collar.
